In 1999 I purchased my first Shar Pei whilst still living in England. Cee Cee was black and was the most beautiful and lovely tempered dog I ever had. I fell in love with the breed and had to have another, then another......... |

| In April 2002 I moved to Portugal with my 3 Shar Pei. This is when I decided I wanted to be more than a pet owner. I decided I would do some research and start to breed. Two of my 3 Shar Pei were already spayed, so that left me with just one for breeding and that was Amy my blue female. To become a serious breeder I had to invest in more lines. Some more females and a male. | |||||
| By October 2002 I had bought 2 female puppies here in Portugal, Candy a fawn coloured and Georgia a mahogany red. They were bred by Nuno and Sandra Ribeiro of Sol D'Arena Kennel. | |||||
| After months of searching I eventually found the male I felt was perfect for my breeding program. In April 2003 I flew to America to see him and I wasn't disappointed. I knew he fitted into my breeding program perfectly, so I decided there and then to bring him back to Portugal. Rolo is a chocolate male who was bred by Missy Sarratori of Foursuns Kennel in New York. | |||||
| So now I had 3 gorgeous females and a handsome male. All I needed now was a good kennel name. I decided to name it Cascata Rochosa (Rocky waterfall in English) after my favourite garden feature. | |||||
| I plan to breed for quality rather than quantity, concentrating on health and temperament as well as the standard. I believe that I have achieved that goal up to now. | |||||
| I now have 7 Shar Pei and 3 of which are champions. I attend competitions regularly and have had wonderful results. We have also produced some very nice puppies who have gone on to do well in the show ring. Long may it continue. | |||||
